This weekend we went to the wildflower festival at King's Park.

We parked near the Fireman's Memorial

This represents a burned out tree trunk

This is  resembling a torch and flame.

The 4 rocks symbolize the Southern Cross constellation

These ducks came right up to us!

The red and green Kangaroo Paw is the state flower.

It can get pretty big!

As we walked into the woods a familiar smell caught me off guard, evidently the tree oils from all these plants together smell like a skunk.

The cutest ducklings in the park.

The colors were so pretty.

These are called Everlasting Daisies, or paper flowers. They felt so dry.

But looked so lovely.

View to the water.

The 2 local sports teams are both doing very well this year.

This black Kangaroo Paw plant looks so awesome.

I really liked the flags up around the park.

The umbrellas were not necessary for a nice day like today!

In honor of the Queen reigning for 63 years this tree got a makeover.

We will also be celebrating her birthday on September 28th.

After our long trek through the bushland we took a sit at the cafe' in the park.

We split a chocolate muffin.

The drinks were pretty good!

The DNA tower.

It was a really beautiful day!

Before we left we bought a bouquet of flowers. All the plants are from the park and the money goes to help maintain and bring new activities for the community.
It was a really nice day to spend out now that the weather is getting brighter.
